The new Oakville hospital will consist of 3 buildings; Block A (including a 6 story parking garage), Block C & Block D all interconnect mechanically by a common central utility plant (CUP) on 9th floor of Block D. The mechanical design of the new Oakville hospital will adhere to the principles of LEED, which will highlight mechanical design concepts such as highly efficient plumbing fixtures for efficient use of water, and design elements that respond to climate conditions which will lead to efficient use of energy.
