New state of the art manufacturing facility for one of the largest private drug companies in Canada. This facility included specialty mechanical equipment ranging from high pressure steam boilers, chillers, high pressure wash system, central housekeeping vacuum all networked to a BAS system to control and monitor to FDA standards.

The Gap/Old Navy was a Design Build project for a distribution centre. This was a retrofit to an existing building. Geo. A. Kelson Company Limited installed a specialized air conditioning system to provide a comfortable working environment for employees.

GlaxoSmithKline Building 9 Extension- In the spring of 2006, GlaxoSmithKline awarded the manufacturing of a leading diabetes medication to their Mississauga Plant. A four-storey extension of approximately 35,000 sq.ft. was undertaken to provide the necessary manufacturing area and support services. The extension consisted of a new shipping and receiving dock, a four-story automated robotic warehouse, multiple levels of manufacturing clean rooms, and mechanical support areas.

Geo. A. Kelson acted as the Design-Build mechanical contractor on this new food processing plant and office for Kellogg’s. The project had a fast-track construction schedule and unique mechanical requirements and was performed under a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract.
This is the first cereal manufacturing facility that Kellogg’s has built in North America in almost 20 years. The plant, which employs about 100 people opened December 2007.

Novex Pharma (Apotex Group of Companies, the largest Canadian owned pharmaceutical company). Novex Pharma located in Richmond Hill specializes in the research, development, and manufacture of injectible, aerosol, ophthalmic and liquid pharmaceuticals. The expansion project doubled the size of the existing facility to nearly 300,000 square feet.

Apotex group of companies that required a manufacturing facility to be constructed and commissioned in less than 1 year. Mobilized on site with custom CAD trailer to produce Interference and spool drawings directly to field.
Building structure was well in advance before tendering of mechanical contractor required Kelson’s management team to mobilize in short order and provide key layouts to suit mechanical systems. With Kelson's CAD team on site working with Apotex design consultants this $30 million mechanical project was completed on time and on budget.

The $80 million dollar TTC Mt. Dennis bus garage is located in Etobicoke, and is the latest addition to the TTC infrastructure service improvement as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy Program. The facility is 23,575 sq.ft. with indoor bus storage for as many as 250 conventional size buses.
